Slick ride
Tuesday, November 23, 2021
Very nicely done. The care drives great and has good acceleration. My only disappointments: 1. Handling in the corners. I expected a little better, tighter handling than it has, but then again, I'm fairly picky based on other vehicles I have owned. Also, I wish I didn't have to use the data type cable for my Android to play WAZE on the screen, because the wireless charging station is pretty nice. I found with the cable plugged in, you wouldn't want to put the phone into the charging slot, as it gets fairly warm. The tech is pretty fantastic and once you get used to the controls, it is straight forward. Nice finish inside and out, and a great bang for the buck. I have the Sport Prestige, the V6 is a strong motor for sure.

GV70 is a great car
Sunday, October 31, 2021
This GV70 is the best car I've driven. I've put 16k mi on it in 12 weeks, including a trip to Fl. Previous car was a 17 MB GLC with 16k in options. This car rides smoother is whisper quiet, has driver assists that is seamless, and very adjustable. A touch screen or roller knob work the info system so easy, a 72 yr old feels smart. The shifting is invisible along with the auto stop start feature. The front seats are extremely comfortable with generous legroom for a 6 footer. The fuel tank is only 18 gal so just under 400mi per fill. The shift knob and info dial are confusingly close. I bought the V6 b/c it was the only way I could get the seat bottom extender. The 4cyl would have been fast enough. Fit and finish are good, but the hood sits on top of the fenders which seems odd.

Melbourne Matte

Was looking hard at the Audi SQ5, but, thankfully, inventory was limited. Was driving a Lexus GS350, but with 2 young girls growing, I needed more space. Originally wanted the blue, but could only find one with the red interior, which I didn't want. Found one in silver at the dealership, then saw the Melbourne gray Matte, and truly fell for it. I am a V6 guy, so I had to get the Sport. Though I drove a Genesis years ago, and absolutely loved the Lexicon system, when the lease was over, I left my drive with a huge catalog of music in it, and don't have the energy to make another one so I mainly listen to sports talk radio, so I didn't need it. When I drove off the lot, literally every person there stopped and stared as I drove off. It was awesome and so is this car. Well done Genesis, well done!
