The field of electric vehicles has expanded considerably over the past few years, and now shoppers have a long list of choices. There's a lot of demand for EVs and SUVs, so we took a look at which electric SUVs and crossovers are out there. With that, here are all the EV SUVs available as of April 2023.

Audi

Audi

2023 Audi Q8 e-tron SUV

The Q8 e-tron SUVs are a bit bigger and more expensive than the Q4 e-tron models and deliver between 208 and 226 miles of range on a single charge. The standard version features 402 horsepower and can sprint from zero to 60 mph in less than six seconds, while the more-powerful S model features 469 horsepower and a whopping 717 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to hit highway speeds from a standstill in just 4.3 seconds. The Audi e-tron SUV starts at about $72,000, while the e-tron S will set you back at least $90,000.

Audi

2023 Audi e-tron Sportback

The e-tron Sportback is mechanically identical to the e-tron but features a sleeker profile. This change impacts aerodynamics, so basic models deliver 225 miles of range, while the S model manages 212 miles. Performance is practically identical to the e-tron SUV, with standard models featuring 402 horsepower and S models packing 469 ponies. The e-tron Sportback starts at about $75,000, while the e-tron S Sportback costs around $92,000.

Audi

2023 Audi Q4 e-tron

A relatively affordable option for Audi EV shoppers is the Q4 e-tron, as rear-wheel-drive models cost just $51,000, while AWD Quattro models start at about $57,000. The RWD Q4 features just 201 horsepower, while AWD models feature 295 horses. The Q4 can travel between 265 and 235 miles on a single charge, depending on the model. The Q4 has a shorter wheelbase, less interior room, and less cargo space than the more-expensive e-tron.

Audi

2023 Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback

The Q4 e-tron Sportback features the same 295-hp powertrain as the AWD Q4 e-tron but has a more swept-back rear profile to make the car look sleeker. It is rated for 242 miles of range and starts at $60,000.

BMW

BMW

2023 BMW iX

The BMW iX is designed to compete with the likes of the Audi e-tron SUV and the Tesla Model X, and it's up to the task. The iX xDrive50 starts at $85,000 and delivers between 305 and 324 miles of range depending on the options selected. The SUV packs more than 500 horsepower and features 36 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seats. That space expands to 78 cubes when the rear seats are folded down. If that's not enough performance, shoppers can opt for the iX M60, which features 610 horsepower and can blast off to highway speeds in a mere 3.6 seconds. That quickness has a trade-off of reduced range; the M60 can travel between 274 and 288 miles on a full charge depending on the options. This top-trim model starts at $110,000.

Cadillac

Cadillac

2023 Cadillac Lyriq

The Lyriq is Cadillac's first full-electric vehicle. It's comparable to the likes of the Audi Q4 e-tron and the Genesis GV60, featuring 340 horsepower and rear-wheel drive, though a 500-hp all-wheel-drive version is expected soon. The currently available RWD model manages a respectable 312 miles of range on a full charge and costs about $63,000. The Lyriq has 28 cubic feet of cargo space, seating for five, and offers the cool Cadillac Super Cruise hands-free driving system with an optional subscription plan.

Chevrolet

Chevrolet

2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV

Not every electric SUV needs to be expensive. The Chevrolet Bolt EUV is a cute-ute that starts at just $29,000 and tops out at $39,000 when fully loaded. No matter which configuration you choose, Bolt EUV buyers get 247 miles of range. Some downsides to the Chevy are the 200-hp front-wheel-drive powertrain that takes a relatively sluggish 7.0 seconds to go from zero to 60 mph, and the vehicle only supports DC Fast Charging speeds up to 50 kW. Those are compromises, but the vehicle is among the most-affordable electric SUVs and is even offered with the trick hands-free Super Cruise driver-assistance system.

Ford

Ford

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E

With its unmistakable pony logo, the Mustang Mach-E is a solid choice in the world of electric SUVs. It comes with standard and extended-range battery options and can be equipped with rear- or all-wheel drive. There are plenty of configurations of Mustang Mach-E as a result, starting at around $48,000 for the standard-range RWD Select model and ranging to $77,000 for the GT Performance Edition with the extended-range battery. The all-electric range of the vehicles also covers a wide spectrum, with models featuring between 224 and 310 miles of range.

Genesis

Genesis

2023 Genesis GV60

The Korean luxury brand isn't shying away from EVs, and its first offering has created quite a splash. The GV60 is offered in two trims, both with the same battery and all-wheel-drive powertrain. The more affordable of the two features 314 horsepower and a range of 248 miles for $60,000. The other choice boasts 429 horses and 235 miles of range, as well as a few other goodies such as adjustable suspension and advanced driver assists, for $69,000.

Hyundai

Hyundai

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is hard to miss thanks to its standout styling and impressive specifications. While entry-level RWD models feature a mere 168 horsepower and a maximum range of 220 miles, they cost only about $43,000. Other models pair a 225-hp rear motor with a 74-kWh battery and maximum range of 303 miles for as little as $47,000. Shoppers can also opt for a 320-hp AWD model with 266 miles of range for an extra $3,500. Fully loaded models cost less than $59,000 and include cool features such as an augmented-reality head-up display.

Hyundai

2023 Hyundai Kona Electric

The Kona Electric is a budget-oriented electric car that starts at $35,000 and tops out at $43,000. All models feature a 200-hp front-wheel-drive powertrain and are rated for 258 miles of range. The 2023 model offers a maximum driving range of 246 miles, while models with larger wheels muster just 217. The I-Pace features 394 horsepower, enough to blast off from zero to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds, and starts around $73,000.

Kia

Kia

2023 Kia EV6

Like Hyundai, Kia has a few electric SUVs to offer, including the EV6, which uses the same platform and battery as the Hyundai Ioniq 5. The extended-range, rear-wheel-drive Kia EV6 models are rated for 310 miles, while the all-wheel-drive versions are expected to deliver up to 282 miles of range. For 2023, Kia is offering a high-performance EV6 GT with 576 horsepower. It trades mileage for quickness as it tops out at just 206 miles of range but can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. Pricing ranges from $50,000 to $63,000.

Kia

2023 Niro EV

The Kia Niro is a bit smaller and less performance-oriented than the EV6. It features a 201-hp motor that powers the front wheels and enables 253 miles of range. Entry-level Kia Niro EV Wind models start at $41,000, while the better-equipped Wave trim will set you back $46,000.

Mercedes-Benz

Mercedes-Benz

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV

If the Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan isn't capable enough for you, then perhaps the EQS SUV will do the trick. This SUV is available in three configurations and can be equipped with two or three rows of seating for maximum passenger space. This nameplate is offered in several configurations with a variety of motors and battery options. Basic Ariya Engage FWD models start at $45,000, while fully loaded Platinum+ e-4orce AWD variants will cost at least $62,000. Output ranges from 214 to 389 horsepower. Depending on the configuration, the Ariya delivers between 216 and 304 miles of range.

Rivian

The Rivian R1S is available with a dual-motor or quad-motor setup packing between 600 and 800 horsepower.
