Boasting proper flagship tech, this full-size three-row luxury SUV takes on some of the industry's top choices.

Big, bold, and loaded with tech, the 2025 Infiniti QX80 represents the first redesign of the automaker's largest SUV in 14 years. If you're after 450 horsepower, veritable acres of leather trim, and loads of cameras, the 2025 QX80 delivers in spades.

The 2025 QX80 Offers Stretch-Out Space in Three Luxurious Rows
The 2025 QX80 is a big SUV sized against rivals such as the short-wheelbase versions of the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, as well as the Lexus LX. Although Infiniti hasn't released detailed exterior measurements, suffice to say it'll fill the better part of a typical garage.
It's hardly shy about its proportions, either. Up front, it boasts a large waterfall-style grille with a big Infiniti badge mounted front and center. Narrow running lights mounted high give way to fog and headlights over a functional vent that pushes air around the front wheels. It's so big that you can wedge your hand in it.

From the side, broad shoulders and slab sides reinforce the QX80's hefty dimensions. A blacked-out treatment to its roof and windshield pillars give the roof a floating appearance — unless you select the available two-tone configuration that paints the roof in black, anyway.
At the rear, the QX80's taillights are connected by a complex light bar. All versions have a hands-free power liftgate activated by a swipe of a foot under the rear bumper.
All but the base trim level ride on 22-inch wheels, though the entry model's 20-inchers are hardly small. The short sidewalls won't work well off-road, where more rubber means softer impacts, meaning the QX80 is a decidedly on-road beast.

Open the doors and you'll find room for eight, or seven if you opt for the available second-row captain's chairs. The cabin comes draped in leather regardless of trim, though top Sensory and Autograph versions toss in softer hides.
Once they've climbed aboard via standard running boards, drivers front a pair of 14.3-inch displays. Top-end versions surround those screens with matte-finish dark wood trim with laser-cut aluminum inlays for an upscale ambiance.

Twin-Turbo Power and Beefy Sound Deadening Promise Quick, Quiet Acceleration
The QX80 discards the outgoing model's V8 engine in favor of a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that the automaker says will hustle 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque to the wheels. Base models come with rear-wheel drive, though a permanent four-wheel-drive (4WD) system that can disconnect the front axle to reduce fuel consumption is available. A nine-speed automatic transmission activated via center console buttons handles shifting.
Infiniti has yet to release towing estimates for the 2025 QX80.

The QX80 rides on an independent suspension that can be optionally augmented with air springs capable of lowering or raising the body either to improve highway stability or increase ground clearance for light-duty off-roading. The suspension's lower height also aids ingress and egress.
Infiniti also tweaked the sound deadening to reduce interior noise levels by a not-insignificant 4 decibels at city speeds and 3 decibels on the highway.

The 2025 QX80's Tech Is Its Tour de Force
Priced and positioned at the top of the Infiniti lineup, the 2025 QX80 delivers top-shelf tech.
Its 14.3-inch screens include a configurable instrument cluster and a central touchscreen, the latter of which features Google built-in tech. With a Google login, users can access a desktop-style Google Maps interface as well as a host of downloadable apps via the Google Play store. Using these Google features does require a data connection either via an extra-cost service or a connected Bluetooth phone.
All versions come with Klipsch premium audio; stepping up to the Sensory or Autograph trims means the base 14-speaker setup gives way to 24 speakers, including some mounted to the front-seat headrests. Those in the driver's headrests can work with the Bluetooth system to direct a connected call's audio to that occupant while other passengers listen to, say, music.

Higher-end versions of the QX80 augment standard automatic emergency braking, lane-departure and blind-spot warnings, and adaptive cruise control with a subscription-based system called ProPilot Assist 2.1 that offers limited hands-off driving on certain well-marked roads.
ProPilot Assist 2.1 relies, in part, on forward-facing cameras. So, too, does the standard surround-view camera system and dashcam. An optional in-car camera lets front-seat riders keep an eye on rear-seat passengers — helpful when watching children, for instance — and the QX80's cabin cam can be summoned remotely via an Infiniti smartphone app for a live view of what's going on inside even when the vehicle is off. Via an Infiniti app, users can even upload photos or videos from inside the car to social media — the perfect way to share those karaoke moments.

Even if they're not belting out "Party In the USA," occupants will find available front- and middle-row heated, cooled, and massaging seats with power adjustment. Top-end Autograph versions even have a touchscreen mounted to the middle row's center console to control seat functions.
A biometric cooling system uses infrared sensors in the front and middle rows to adjust the climate control system for hot or cold occupants, too.
The standard third row lacks most of those luxuries — Autograph versions do have third-row heating — though with more space for folks than the outgoing model, riding in the way back should be a more pleasant experience.

The 2025 Infiniti QX80's Price Can Leap Over Six Figures
The 2025 QX80 starts at $84,445 in base Pure configuration, or $3,100 more with 4WD. Stepping up to the $91,545 Luxe trim nets an air suspension, a head-up display, cooled front- and second-row seats, 22-inch wheels, and a few more niceties.

At $102,640, the Sensory is a big upcharge, but its cabin comes draped in softer leather and includes 24 speakers, biometric cooling, and 4WD. The $112,590 Autograph tops the lineup with massaging middle-row seats separated by a console with a touchscreen, a cool box in the center console, and ProPilot Assist 2.1.
All prices include a $1,995 destination charge. The 2025 Infiniti QX80 is scheduled to hit dealers during summer 2024.
